#StayHungry

Starvation can kill you! Without nutrients, a healthy diet, and a made up mind you could very well stunt yourself….Being healthy is the key to long life….and the longer you live the more time you have to fulfill the purpose God has for you. What you feed will grow and what you starve will eventually DIE!

There are so many applications to this simple truth…..we can break this down sooo many ways….but I submit to you that growth inwardly is more important than growth outwardly. In Scripture we actually see how God feels about the outward appearance:

1.) It is not the way God weighs His decision making. (1 Samuel 16:7)

2.) It is dying. (2 Corinthians 4:16)

DISCLAIMER: We are in no way stating that your outward appearance is not important! By all means please take care of yourself by way of exercise, hygiene, and a healthy diet!

But what God is trying to teach us is that we pay too much attention to maintaining the outward, while the inner man is what will last and what will be presented before Him!

“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” -2 Corinthians 4:18

Temporal = relating to time.

Eternal = lasting or existing forever; without end or beginning.

So even though the society around us surrounds us with a million different ways to keep up what’s on the outside, the outward appearance has an expiration date! It will soon come to an end. What’s inside of us….however will last forever.

This #quarantine has been teaching me the importance of maintaining my inward man. Feeding it with the Word, drinking the Spirit of God, training my spiritual senses with worship and prayer….the #Harvest is on its way….and our insides must be strong to endure what’s to come….

Spiritual training right now is the key in this season ……we have to #StayHungry!
