Why Fast?

Fasting is a Kingdom weapon designed to enhance the believers ability to hear God and increase the willingness to OBEY God. It is a focused time of stepping back from carnal and fleshly activities that would normally benefit our natural appetites. Basically fasting is good for you because it helps to discipline the YOU that needs self control. It’s not spooky, its a CHALLENGE!

Example: An athlete is encouraged to eat certain foods and abstain from others depending on the sport. The reason is simple yet profound: this diet enhances the athlete’s body functions so that the athlete performs at MAXIMUM potential! This is what happens when we fast AND pray!

During the time of fasting our spiritual diet is being fulfilled, giving it the necessary strength, attention, and PUSH it needs for the warfare ahead. God can not use a CARNAL vessel to its maximum potential, until the carnal weight has been removed, and the spiritual weight increases in the believers life. Fasting is the believers diet for their spiritual man to grow strong in the Lord.
